I think you misunderstand the point of my article: it is not that Blockchain “has not delivered on its promises” - it is simply physically impossible to truly fulfill those promises at the same time. Some technology might work, but it will likely not be a blockchain (and you can already see that trend when you look at all the side-chain based protocols etc.) I think it is very likely that none of today’s networks or currencies will make a wide adoption of cryptocurrencies possible or desirable, and also quite likely that none of them will survive into 2035 — and those that will, will drop or soften at least one of the promises mentioned above.
