Thank you. I am referencing e2k, Jed McCaleb’s first product — and I hope I will have, at some point, time and brain to write an article about that. Its scalability characteristics were very similar to crypto, the problems just became a lot more evident a lot faster due to the bandwidth limitations back in the day. I have my suspicions on why BitTorrent “won”, even though it is pretty much the same as all the others.
