And no, I am sorry, it is not going away by itself. This is just the beginning. The only reason it is still "not that bad" is because a lot of people are still skeptical towards it, and the price is relatively low. As the price of bitcoin goes up (and it will), the problem is going to get worse and worse. It has no natural way to stop it built in.
